All pilots and aviation fans are welcome.\n \nByrd’s features two grass runways along the wild and scenic Mulberry River. Our 1900-foot strip is suitable for many single-engine airplanes\, while our 1000-foot strip is ideal for bush planes\, powered parachutes\, and trikes. Pilots are encouraged to monitor and announce on channel 122.9.\n \nBring gear for non-flying activities\, including Mulberry River paddling trips\, fishing\, trail exploring\, campfire cookouts\, off-roading\, mountain biking\, and more.\n \nInformal groups will fly out on sightseeing adventures to surrounding areas (weather permitting).\n \nSnacks\, drinks\, ice\, and camping supplies are available at Byrd’s on-site store.\nRestaurant dining is available at Byrd’s Riverfront Restaurant.\n \nAviation fuel is available nearby at the Ozark (7M5) and Clarksville (H35) municipal airports. Fuel is not available on site.\n \nFlying at Byrd’s is free! RV campsites with hookups are $49 per night. DESCRIPTION:The Race:\nThe Brewha Bushwhack is not a race in the traditional sense. We call it a team-based adventure challenge: What you know is more important than how fast you are. The goal is to push the limit of the teams’ diversity of skills and what can be accomplished together. Make your own path\, and set your own pace – the Brewha Bushwhack is a challenge based on points\, not time. \nThe gear requirements are small – You will mostly rely on primitive technology and woodlore. Little more than a knife\, para-cord\, duct tape\, or a fire steel will be needed to complete the challenges. Your most important tool is your brain\, and best asset your team.\n \nAt the end of it all\, local breweries will be serving up tasty beverages\, and we’ll have an awards ceremony to swap stories and compare scars. ‍\n••••••••••••••••••••\nThe Festival:\nWant to join in the Brewha\, but don’t want to race? The Festival is just for you!\n \nThere will be several educational clinics throughout the day\, hosted by bushcraft & survival professionals\, local businesses\, outdoor brands\, and more!\n \nTopics will cover archery and bowmaking\, survival skills\, primitive techniques\, and more!\n \nThere will also be a variety of local businesses\, outdoor brands\, and sponsors to visit with! Be ready to settle into 3 days of hiking\, river rock skipping\, dancing\, off-road trails\, learning\, love\, live music\, craft beer and spirits\, kickball (yeah you read that right)\, firepits\, and food trucks. All ready to enjoy in a van down by the river…or a skoolie\, tent\, truck camper\, or whatever your traveling heart desires. \nAlong with all of the activities\, the campout will serve to connect van-lifers and weekend warriors with one another in order to provide resources through workshops and conversation to help with build-out concepts\, van design\, secret campsites\, and all the things we’ve learned about adventuring in the Ozarks and beyond. \nNo van? DESCRIPTION:An awesome weekend to get away and fly to a secluded campground and enjoy the spring weather and hiking! Join us for the Fall Fly-In at Byrd’s. Enjoy breathtaking vistas in the Ozarks. All pilots and aircraft welcome. \nByrd’s features two grass runways along the wild and scenic Mulberry River. Our 2\,500-foot strip is suitable for many single-engine airplanes\, while our short runway is dedicated to powered parachutes and trikes. Pilots are encouraged to monitor channel 122.9. \nBring gear for non-flying activities too\, including ATV trail riding\, waterfall hikes\, fly fishing\, and campfire cookouts. \nGroups will fly out on sightseeing trips to surrounding landmarks and airports (weather permitting). Snacks\, drinks\, ice and sandwiches are available at Byrd’s on-site store. Restaurant dining is available at Byrd’s new Riverfront Restaurant. \nAviation fuel is available nearby at the Ozark (7M5) and Clarksville (H35) municipal airports. Ethanol-free fuel for Light Sport Aircraft is available locally at Turner Bend and the Oark General Store. \nFlying at Byrd’s is free! RV camping with hookups are $49 for 4 people per night / $12 for each additional person per night. Primitive camping is $12 per person per night with access to our large heated shower house. Inspired by the challenging terrain of the Arkansas Ozarks\, this competition tests not only a pilot’s skill but demands extreme knowledge of equipment and unparalleled judgment. The terrain involves actual backwoods flying while adding the exciting elements of time trials with unpredictable river valley winds. All of these aspects combine to make this experience more complex than your average STOL competition! \nThis event will be set deep in the Ozarks at the legendary Byrd’s Adventure Center on September 28th – Oct. 2rd\, 2022.\nA timed STOL event requiring the participant to depart the main runway\, land at three other designated runways\, & return to the landing point. \nNot only will The Challenge test the skills of some of the best pilots and their aircraft\, but it also provides the opportunity to exchange their tips\, tricks\, & knowledge of backwoods flying. Saturday\, April 23rd we will head out for day of running trails and end the day back at Byrd’s. Sunday morning April 24th we’ll run a little more trail and end at Ozark Cafe for lunch.\n \nEnsure you have a plan for fueling up prior to arriving at Byrd’s\, we won’t see a gas station all day Saturday. Also plan on having food for all your meals while there. Byrd’s has a restaurant and general store if you’d like to eat there but you’ll need food for lunch on the trail Saturday.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at Byrd’s Adventure Center on April 11th for our Annual Brewha Bushwhack and Boondoggle! \n•••THE BREWHA BUSHWHACK•••\nThe Brewha Bushwhack is not a race in the traditional sense. What you know is more important than how fast you are – this is not a beat-down obstacle race. While there will be physical challenges\, the goal is to push the limit of the teams’ diversity of skills\, and what can be accomplished together. A well-rounded team is essential\, and teams are encouraged to work together to solve problems. You make your own path\, and go at your own pace. Plan your own route of travel and complete checkpoints in whatever order seems best. Finishing first helps you in no way\, as this is a race for points\, not time.\n‍\nThe gear requirements are small.\nYou’ll use little more than a compass\, knife\, para-cord\, duct tape\, and a fire steel to complete each challenge. The most important tool is your brain\, and the best asset is your team. At the end of it all\, there will be some great local beer & ciders waiting for you\, BBQ\, live music\, and an awards ceremony where we’ll swap stories of the day and compare scars.\n*This year\, your team will need a traditional style bow (i.e. non-compound) for the race. \nBuild your team\, practice your skills\, and GET SOME! \n**This year’s registration is a little different: EVERYTHING is online\, and YOUR ENTIRE TEAM must register at the same time. \nIf you will be arriving Friday evening after 9pm\, you will need to take care of camping fee for that night Saturday morning at the Byrd’s Adventure Center store (Saturday night camping is included in the Brewha Bushwhack registration fee). DESCRIPTION:Spending some time freeing the mind!\nThe 2022 Arkansas 500 is now open for registration. Go to arkansas500.com and register today! \n2022 Arkansas 500 Ride Itinerary\nEarly Bird Ride and Eats – Two and a half-hour ride starting when you arrive\, on your own\, track provided by Scotty. At 6:30 PM Scotty will be cooking burgers and brats (for those who fill out the pre-ride survey correctly) on location at Byrds Adventure Center. Bring a chair and drink to Scotty’s campsite #2 for the Early Bird Dinner. \nFriday\, April 1:Hot Breakfast provided at 7:30 AM. Coffee will be available by 7 AM. After a brief rider meeting (and photo)\, it is kickstands up! Lunch is on the trail. This year the ride will be stationary\, at Byrds Adventure Center\, and start and finish at the same location each day. Through the years\, we have moved to a different location each day\, but this year we will set up camp only once! You will have your truck\, gear\, and camping stuff with you each evening. \nDinner will be at 6:30 each evening and is catered. I will post the menu just before the ride\, but I can tell you now that there will be Prime Rib on Saturday night. There is a shower house on site. The campsite fee is included in your donation to TCWR\, but feel free to drop a donation in the jar. If you need an RV site with electricity and other amenities call Byrd’s Adventure Center at 479-667-4066. This is on a first-come\, first-serve basis. Tent camping is unlimited. Gas is less than five miles away at Turner Bend. \nSaturday\, April 2 Coffee – 7 AM Breakfast: 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM: Full hot breakfast. Make it snappy\, we have a long day ahead! DESCRIPTION:This is our annual Rocktoberfest\, hosted by Rockcrawlers 4×4 Club. We are a not for profit organization that works to put on an event\, in order to raise money for other local charities; while having a good time. DESCRIPTION:An awesome weekend to get away and fly to a secluded campground and enjoy the spring weather and hiking! Join us for the Fall Fly-In at Byrd’s. Enjoy breathtaking vistas in the Ozarks. All pilots and aircraft welcome. \nByrd’s features two grass runways along the wild and scenic Mulberry River. Our 2\,500-foot strip is suitable for many single-engine airplanes\, while our short runway is dedicated to powered parachutes and trikes. Pilots are encouraged to monitor channel 122.9. \nBring gear for non-flying activities too\, including ATV trail riding\, waterfall hikes\, fly fishing\, and campfire cookouts. \nGroups will fly out on sightseeing trips to surrounding landmarks and airports (weather permitting). Snacks\, drinks\, ice and sandwiches are available at Byrd’s on-site store. Restaurant dining is available at Byrd’s new Riverfront Restaurant. \nAviation fuel is available nearby at the Ozark (7M5) and Clarksville (H35) municipal airports. Ethanol-free fuel for Light Sport Aircraft is available locally at Turner Bend and the Oark General Store. \nFlying at Byrd’s is free! RV camping with hookups are $25 per night. Primitive camping is $10 per person per night with access to our large heated shower house. Cabins are available on site.
